Synopsis

A delinquent youngster, who is being kept at a reformatory school, does not believe that his mother has died. He has created an imaginary picture of his mother, based on newspaper clipping, and he instend to find her. When a new social aid begins to work at the reformatory, the boy thinks he has found the mother he was looking. He runs away from the reformatory, spends the night at his aunt's home in a poor district, and on the following day he goes over his memories of his parents in a junk yard. After a couple of days he locates the social aid's home, and tries to convince her that she is his mother. Reluctantly the social aid takes the boy to her home with the intention of taking him back to the reformatory on the following day.

The arrival of the boy creates a certain warm atmosphere in a home. where there is no male member, and an emotional relationship develops between the boy and the social aid's daughter. But on the following day the boy runs away when he finds out he is to be taken back to the reformatory. To end the boy's adventure, the social aid arranges for him to return to her home, and at the same time she informs the reformatory officials to come and take the boy...
